Bow Valley Ultimate Club - 2007

Founded in 1992, the Bow Valley Ultimate Club is a volunteer-run organization that has a wide variety of skill levels among it's ~80 co-ed members, from beginners new to the sport of Ultimate to players who have competed in tournaments at the national and international level. Played in over 80 countries around the world, Ultimate is a team sport played with a flying disc with the goal of scoring points by catching the disc in the opponent's end zone.

The 2007 summer league has already begun!  We kicked things off May 1st with more than 20 new and familiar faces.  Building on the success of previous years, league play will happen on Tuesday nights at 7PM at Canmore's Millenium Park.  Our club attracts ultimate enthusiasts from Lake Louise, Banff, Calgary and Canmore.  For those new to the sport be sure to get involved early in order to take advantage of a variety of clinics.  

In addition to weekly league play, the Bow Valley Ultimate Club also has a competitive co-ed touring team, the Bowhemians. The team competes annually in more than 5 tournaments throughout the spring, summer and fall in Western Canada. 

The Bow Valley Ultimate Club also hosts its own invitational tournament, the Wapooti Classic taking place here in Canmore at the Millennium Field. Every year there's a large waiting list of teams from western Canada and the United States vying for a spot in a weekend of competitive Ultimate amidst the inspiring Rocky Mountain surroundings.  We believe that we consistently put on one of the best tournaments in western Canada; we hope to see you there.
