Saturday June 16
10 AM Centennial Field

Come on out and learn some sweet skills c/o Rob McLeod of Invictus, Calgary's elite men's touring team. Ideally, you posess a decent forehand and backhand to get the most out of the clinic.

Bring $2 to help pay for Rob's gas money

We are hoping we can start to use this forum for community news.  If you are interested in "listening" to a topic, once registered, you can click "notify" in the topic tabs located above or below a discussion's list of topics.  After you have done this you will receive email notifications when a new topic is created or reply is posted.

'Why', you ask?

Well let's assume that we can get the majority of players in the Bow Valley to sign up and start watching the discussions.  And let's suppose that you want to invite everyone to something, maybe a party...for the sake of argument we will call it a "Half Way to Halloween Party".  Instead of getting on the phone at the last minute you can head over to the forum and post an announcement.  Kablam!  Everyone watching just got your invitation.

Now let's suggest that you get tired of getting invited to so many parties.  Maybe you are just so popular that you couldn't survive another invitation to throw the disc around on Sunday afternoon.  You head to the forum and turn off notification and just like that, no more Ultimate spam!

In this way you get to decide what lists you want to be a part of, and when you want to stop.

The possibilities are endless!  Imagine!  You could post the directions to the Kelowna fields.  Throw up a link to that really cool ultimate site you just found.

Tour around and play.  Anything you can break we can fix.

We'll be at Millennium Field in Canmore, 7:00-9:30 PM, from May 1 to early October.

It's $50 to play for the whole summer, or $5 for drop-ins.

New players are invited to come and check it out!

Bring a light and dark shirt and water. Soccer cleats are also recommended.

If you're new to the sport, we'll be running some new player clinics whenever there is interest and will try to get 2 fields going each week (beginner field and advanced field).

Also, www.ultimatehandbook.com is a great site with lots of info on the basics of the game, throwing, catching, offense & defense, etc.

Up!
TJ

Welcome to the new and improved Bow Valley Ultimate Forum!

We have added some features, cleaned out the spam and just generally improved the forum.  Unfortunately the witty banter from prevoius years was lost as collateral damage in the battle to stave of the flood of spam that took things over in the past months.  Rather than dedicate days of editting we settled on a good old fire hosing.  This means we start with a clean slate.

You will need to create new user accounts and get right into the smack talk and flame wars that made this forum a good place to visit.

Enjoy!  If you have any issues post them to one of the administrators and we will try and resolve them as time permits.  Be patient, we are afterall volunteers.

Have fun and we will see you on the fields!
